Hello
Resilience is survival, something Kather, a Hazara realized quite early in life.
He's the introverted middle child in a big family of a small town in Quetta, Pakistan. Art for him has been his only natural way of expression ever since he was a kid, it was the only thing through which his parents knew what was going on inside his head. For someone as quite and as subtle as he is, his art in contrast is as bold, large and complex.
The time and place of where he grew up molded him, early 2000's Quetta in a small isolated community with impressions of normalized Hazara genocide by Taliban in his exterior world and a consistent sea of instability, safety and financial worries consuming his domestic world. Little to no inspiration was left behind, suffering and resilience was all there to see but it was that resilience through the suffering that inspired him. Art to him has been many things, expression, anguish, grievance, celebration, magnification and many more.
